किं निमित्तं सुरश्रेष्ठ न जानीमो वयं प्रभो । तेषां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा चिरं ध्यात्वा पितामहः
kiṃ nimittaṃ suraśreṣṭha na jānīmo vayaṃ prabho | teṣāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā ciraṃ dhyātvā pitāmahaḥ
“เหตุอันใดเป็นเช่นนี้ โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่สุระ เรามิอาจรู้ได้ ข้าแต่พระผู้เป็นเจ้า” ครั้นปิตามหะ (พระพรหม) ได้สดับถ้อยคำแล้ว ก็ทรงเพ่งพินิจอยู่นาน
