ततस्ते ब्राह्मणाः सर्वे ज्ञात्वा छिद्रसमुद्भवम् । विघातं बालकानां च देवताभिर्विनिर्मितम्

tataste brāhmaṇāḥ sarve jñātvā chidrasamudbhavam | vighātaṃ bālakānāṃ ca devatābhirvinirmitam

ครั้นแล้วพราหมณ์ทั้งปวง ครั้นรู้ว่าเคราะห์ร้ายเกิดจาก “ช่องรั่ว” ก็เข้าใจว่า ความพินาศของเด็กทั้งหลายถูกบันดาลโดยเหล่าเทวะเหล่านั้น
