yuṣmadīya prasādena yathā teṣāṃ parikṣayaḥ | sañjāyate mahādevyau tathā kāryamasaṃśayam
The two supplicants (wives/queens) petitioning the goddesses
Type: kund
Scene: Devotees plead before two great goddesses for the annihilation of the hostile forces; the goddesses’ faces show controlled ferocity, with weapons or fiery aura implied, while the petitioners remain reverent.
Divine grace (prasāda) is sought not for private gain but to remove forces that threaten dharma and the sacred order.
The request is made at the kuṇḍa-tīrtha whose resident Śakti is portrayed as a guardian power for the region (including Kāśī by association).
No explicit rite; it is a prayer (prārthanā) for divine intervention following homa and worship.
