वृत्र उवाच । यावत्तिष्ठति सुत्रामा तावन्नास्ति सुखं मम । तस्मान्निष्कंटकार्थाय यतिष्येऽहं द्विजोत्तम
vṛtra uvāca | yāvattiṣṭhati sutrāmā tāvannāsti sukhaṃ mama | tasmānniṣkaṃṭakārthāya yatiṣye'haṃ dvijottama
วฤตระกล่าวว่า: “ตราบใดที่สุทรามา (อินทรา) ยังดำรงอยู่ ตราบนั้นเราย่อมไร้สุข ดังนั้นเพื่อให้ปราศจากหนาม (ศัตรูคู่แข่ง) เราจักเพียรพยายาม โอ้ทวิชผู้ประเสริฐ”
