एवं वैराग्यमापन्नो गिरिमारुह्य वासवः । यावत्क्षिपति चात्मानं मरणे कृतनिश्चयः

evaṃ vairāgyamāpanno girimāruhya vāsavaḥ | yāvatkṣipati cātmānaṃ maraṇe kṛtaniścayaḥ

ครั้นเป็นดังนี้ วาสวะ (อินทร์) ผู้ตกอยู่ในไวรากยะอันหม่นเศร้า ได้ขึ้นสู่ภูผา ครั้นตั้งใจแน่วแน่ต่อความตาย ก็เกือบจะทอดกายลงสู่เบื้องล่าง
