देवशर्मोवाच । कामं त्यजत मां सर्वे यूयमन्येऽपि ये द्विजाः । मयैवास्य प्रतिज्ञातं भोक्तुं श्राद्धे महीपतेः
devaśarmovāca | kāmaṃ tyajata māṃ sarve yūyamanye'pi ye dvijāḥ | mayaivāsya pratijñātaṃ bhoktuṃ śrāddhe mahīpateḥ
เทวศรมันกล่าวว่า “พวกท่านทั้งหลายจะละทิ้งข้าก็ได้ แม้พราหมณ์ทวิชะอื่น ๆ หากประสงค์ แต่ข้าได้ปฏิญาณด้วยตนเองแล้วว่าจะร่วมรับภัตตาหารในพิธีศราทธะของพระราชา”
