ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । भविष्यति कलौ विप्रा दौस्थ्यभावसमन्विताः । पठने नैव शक्ताश्च व्याख्यानस्य च का कथा

brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | bhaviṣyati kalau viprā dausthyabhāvasamanvitāḥ | paṭhane naiva śaktāśca vyākhyānasya ca kā kathā

พราหมณ์ทั้งหลายกล่าวว่า “ในกาลียุค โอ้วิประทั้งหลาย พราหมณ์จะถูกความยากจนและความทุกข์เข็ญครอบงำ แม้แต่การสวดอ่านก็ไร้กำลัง แล้วจะกล่าวถึงการอธิบายได้อย่างไร”
