अथासौ प्रणिपत्योच्चैः प्रोवाच द्विजसत्तमान् । जलभ्रांत्या सुरा पीता मया कुरुत निग्रहम्
athāsau praṇipatyoccaiḥ provāca dvijasattamān | jalabhrāṃtyā surā pītā mayā kuruta nigraham
แล้วเขากราบลงด้วยความเคารพ และกล่าวเสียงดังต่อพราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐว่า “ด้วยความหลงคิดว่าเป็นน้ำ ข้าพเจ้าได้ดื่มสุรา ขอท่านโปรดกำหนดการลงทัณฑ์อันสมควรแก่ข้าพเจ้าเถิด”
