คาลวะกล่าวว่า: “แต่ศักระและเหล่าเจ้าแห่งเทวะทั้งหลาย ใจถูกเผาด้วยทุกข์โศก; ครั้นขาดการได้ดาร์ศนะของพระอิศวร จิตก็ฟุ้งซ่าน และไม่ยินดีในกิจแห่งอินทรีย์ทั้งปวง”
