तस्मात्तस्य वधोपायं कथयामि महात्मनः । पार्वत्यां यो महेशानात्सूनुरुत्पत्स्यते हि सः
tasmāttasya vadhopāyaṃ kathayāmi mahātmanaḥ | pārvatyāṃ yo maheśānātsūnurutpatsyate hi saḥ
“เพราะฉะนั้น โอ้มหาตมะทั้งหลาย เราจักบอกอุบายแห่งความตายของเขา: บุตรผู้จะบังเกิดจากพระปารวตีโดยพระมหีศานะ (ศิวะ) นั่นแลจะเป็นผู้ปราบเขาโดยแน่นอน”
