। सूत उवाच । तस्यैव पश्चिमे भागे मृगतीर्थमनुत्तमम् । अस्ति पुण्यतमं ख्यातं समस्ते धरणीतले । तत्र ये मानवास्तीर्थे सम्यक्छ्रद्धासमन्विताः । चैत्रशुक्लचतुर्दश्यां स्नानं कुर्वंतिभास्करे
| sūta uvāca | tasyaiva paścime bhāge mṛgatīrthamanuttamam | asti puṇyatamaṃ khyātaṃ samaste dharaṇītale | tatra ye mānavāstīrthe samyakchraddhāsamanvitāḥ | caitraśuklacaturdaśyāṃ snānaṃ kurvaṃtibhāskare
สุทากล่าวว่า: ณ ส่วนตะวันตกของถิ่นนั้น มีตีรถะอันยอดยิ่งชื่อ มฤคตีรถะ เป็นที่เลื่องลือว่าให้บุญสูงสุดทั่วทั้งพิภพ ผู้ใดมีศรัทธามั่นคง อาบน้ำที่ตีรถะนั้นในวันจตุรทศีแห่งปักษ์สว่างเดือนไจตรา ณ เวลาอรุณเมื่อพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น ย่อมได้บุญธรรมอันยิ่งใหญ่
