न च त्याज्यं समुच्छिष्टं तेन भुंजामहे ततः । तदत्र कारणेनैव गुरुणा भाव्यमेव हि । येन त्वं यच्छसि प्राय एतत्सिद्धिर्भवेत्स्थिता

na ca tyājyaṃ samucchiṣṭaṃ tena bhuṃjāmahe tataḥ | tadatra kāraṇenaiva guruṇā bhāvyameva hi | yena tvaṃ yacchasi prāya etatsiddhirbhavetsthitā

สิ่งนี้ไม่ควรถูกละทิ้งว่าเป็น “ของเหลือ” เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงฉันดังประสาทะ แต่ที่นี่จักต้องมีเหตุอันหนักแน่น—ด้วยเหตุนี้เองท่านจึงถวายเป็นนิตย์—เพื่อให้พิธีที่มุ่งหมายนี้บรรลุผลสำเร็จและตั้งมั่นจริงแท้
