भर्तृयज्ञ उवाच । तच्छ्रुत्वा पितरो हृष्टा जग्मुः स्वंस्वं निकेतनम् । वर्षांतेऽपि समासाद्य श्राद्धं न स्युर्बुभुक्षिताः
bhartṛyajña uvāca | tacchrutvā pitaro hṛṣṭā jagmuḥ svaṃsvaṃ niketanam | varṣāṃte'pi samāsādya śrāddhaṃ na syurbubhukṣitāḥ
ภรตฤยัชญะกล่าวว่า: ครั้นได้ฟังดังนั้น เหล่าปิตฤก็ยินดีและไปยังเคหสถานของตน ๆ. และเมื่อถึงปลายปี เพราะมีการประกอบศราทธะ พวกท่านย่อมไม่คงอยู่ในความหิวโหย
