Transliteration

na dadau sa tadā vipraḥ sāmnā dānena vā punaḥ | bhedena ca tato daṇḍaṃ yojayāmāsa vai nṛpaḥ

Translation

ครั้งนั้นพราหมณ์มิได้ยกโคนั้นให้เลย ไม่ว่าจะด้วยการเกลี้ยกล่อมอ่อนหวาน หรือด้วยของกำนัลใด ๆ ครั้นแล้วพระราชาจึงอาศัยวิธีบีบบังคับ และเริ่มดำเนินการลงทัณฑ์
