tadarthaṃ nāgarāḥ sarve na kurvanti hi karhicit | indro'pi ca gate tasmiṃścaturvaktre nijālayam

ด้วยเหตุนั้นชาวนาคระทั้งปวงจึงไม่กระทำพิธีนั้นเลยไม่ว่าเมื่อใด. และครั้นพระพรหมผู้มีสี่พักตร์เสด็จกลับสู่ที่ประทับของตนแล้ว พระอินทร์ก็ได้ (ต่อมา) ดำเนินการ
