यद्यद्व्रतं पुरा चक्रे ब्राह्मणी सा च सुव्रता । अन्यं जलाशयं प्राप्य सा तच्चक्रे नृपात्मजा । प्रीत्या परमया युक्ता तदा सा द्विजस त्तमाः

yadyadvrataṃ purā cakre brāhmaṇī sā ca suvratā | anyaṃ jalāśayaṃ prāpya sā taccakre nṛpātmajā | prītyā paramayā yuktā tadā sā dvijasa ttamāḥ

พรตใดๆ ที่พราหมณีผู้มั่นคงในศีลพรตได้ปฏิบัติไว้ก่อนแล้ว เมื่อธิดาแห่งพระราชาไปถึงสระน้ำอีกแห่งหนึ่ง นางก็ปฏิบัติพรตนั้นซ้ำอีกครั้ง ด้วยความปีติศรัทธาอันยิ่งยวด โอ้ท่านผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่ทวิชะทั้งหลาย
