ब्रह्मोवाच । शक्र नायाति सावित्री सापि स्त्री शिथिलात्मिका । अनया भार्यया यज्ञो मया कार्योऽयमेव तु
brahmovāca | śakra nāyāti sāvitrī sāpi strī śithilātmikā | anayā bhāryayā yajño mayā kāryo'yameva tu
พระพรหมตรัสว่า “โอ้ศักระ สาวิตรีมิได้มา นางก็เป็นสตรีที่อ่อนกำลังแห่งปณิธาน เพราะฉะนั้นยัญพิธีนี้เราจักประกอบกับชายาผู้อยู่ ณ ที่นี้เอง”
