क्षत्रियोऽपि पुरस्कृत्य देवदेवं पितामहम् । न चैकेन वसिष्ठेन तेनैतद्वैरमाहितम्

kṣatriyo'pi puraskṛtya devadevaṃ pitāmaham | na caikena vasiṣṭhena tenaitadvairamāhitam

แม้ท่านจะเป็นกษัตริย์ (กษัตริยะ) แต่ก็ยกพระปิตามหพรหมา เทวเทพเจ้า เป็นเป้าหมายเบื้องหน้า; และความบาดหมางนี้มิได้ถูกก่อขึ้นโดยพระวสิษฐะเพียงผู้เดียว หากมีเหตุปัจจัยกว้างขวางกว่านั้น
