श्रीभगवानुवाच । शुकवज्जल्पते यस्मात्तवायं पुत्रको मुने । तस्माच्छुकोऽयं नाम्नास्तु योगविद्याविचक्षणः
śrībhagavānuvāca | śukavajjalpate yasmāttavāyaṃ putrako mune | tasmācchuko'yaṃ nāmnāstu yogavidyāvicakṣaṇaḥ
พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสว่า “ดูก่อนมุนี เพราะบุตรน้อยของท่านผู้นี้กล่าววาจาดุจนกแก้ว (ศุกะ) ฉะนั้นขอให้เขามีชื่อว่า ‘ศุกะ’ ผู้แหลมคมในวิทยาแห่งโยคะ”
