तत्र क्षेत्रे पुरा विप्रः कश्यपान्वयसंभवः । उपाध्याय इति ख्यातो वेदविद्यापरायणः

tatra kṣetre purā vipraḥ kaśyapānvayasaṃbhavaḥ | upādhyāya iti khyāto vedavidyāparāyaṇaḥ

ในเขตศักดิ์สิทธิ์นั้น กาลก่อนมีพราหมณ์ผู้หนึ่ง เกิดในวงศ์กัศยปะ เป็นที่รู้จักนามว่า “อุปาธยายะ” ผู้มุ่งมั่นในเวทวิทยาโดยสิ้นเชิง
