tatastāmarpayāmāsa tāṃ kanyāṃ sa mahīpatiḥ | kṛtvāgniṃ sākṣiṇaṃ vākyādbrāhmaṇānāṃ dvijottamāḥ

แล้วพระผู้ครองแผ่นดินก็ถวายธิดานั้นแก่เขา ตามถ้อยคำของพราหมณ์ผู้ประเสริฐทั้งหลาย จึงตั้งไฟศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นพยานแห่งพิธี
