तस्मै कन्या प्रदातव्या स श्राद्धार्हो भविष्यति धर्मकृत्येषु सर्वेषु योजनीयः स एव हि

tasmai kanyā pradātavyā sa śrāddhārho bhaviṣyati dharmakṛtyeṣu sarveṣu yojanīyaḥ sa eva hi

ควรมอบกุมารีให้แก่เขาเป็นคู่ครอง เขาจักเป็นผู้สมควรรับเครื่องบูชาในพิธีศราทธะ และในกิจแห่งธรรมทั้งปวง พึงมอบหมายแก่เขาเท่านั้น

The same Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha of Adhyāya 113, whose bathing is presented as powerful enough to re-establish ritual and social eligibility.

After bathing and becoming purified, the person is declared eligible for śrāddha and other dharma rites, and fit for marriage alliance (kanyā-dāna).
