शप्ताः सर्वे वयं तावत्प्रसादं कुरु तद्विभो । ते तेनाथ ततः प्रोक्ता नाहं वो राक्षसाधमाः
śaptāḥ sarve vayaṃ tāvatprasādaṃ kuru tadvibho | te tenātha tataḥ proktā nāhaṃ vo rākṣasādhamāḥ
“พวกเราทั้งปวงถูกสาปแล้ว ดังนั้นข้าแต่ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ โปรดประทานพระกรุณาเถิด” แล้วเขากล่าวแก่พวกนั้นว่า “มิใช่เรา—โอ้เหล่ารากษสผู้ต่ำช้า—ที่จะประทานพรนั้นแก่พวกเจ้า”
