बलेस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा उशना प्रत्युवाच तम् । अश्वमेधशतेनैव सुरराज्यं भविष्यति । दीक्षितस्य न संदेहस्तस्माद्भोक्त स एव च

ครั้นอุศนา (ศุกระ) ได้ฟังถ้อยคำของพาลีแล้ว จึงตอบว่า: ‘ด้วยการประกอบอัศวเมธยัญญะหนึ่งร้อยครั้ง อำนาจแห่งเทวราชย่อมบังเกิดแน่นอน ผู้ได้รับทิक्षาแล้วไม่มีข้อสงสัย ดังนั้นผู้นั้นเท่านั้นจักได้เสวยผลนั้น’
