nocitaṃ bhagavānkartuṃ tāpasena balādidam | yācayasva piturme tvaṃ nānyathābhibhaviṣyasi
Śabarī (to Śiva)
Scene: The maiden, respectful yet firm, admonishes the lord: an ascetic should not act by force; he must ask her father.
Dharma requires non-coercion and social propriety; even the powerful must honor righteous procedure.
The Kedāra sacred narrative uses ethical instruction as part of the place’s māhātmya atmosphere.
A social-religious prescription is implied: formal seeking of marriage through the bride’s father (yācñā), not force.
