इंद्रो हि गजमारूढो मृगारूढः सदागतिः । यमो महिषमारूढो यमदंडसमन्वितः

iṃdro hi gajamārūḍho mṛgārūḍhaḥ sadāgatiḥ | yamo mahiṣamārūḍho yamadaṃḍasamanvitaḥ

อินทร์ทรงคชสารเป็นพาหนะ ส่วนผู้มีคติไม่หยุดยั้ง (วายุ) ทรงมฤคเป็นพาหนะ ยมทรงมหิษเป็นพาหนะ และทรงถือยมทัณฑ์คือคทาแห่งทัณฑกรรม
