तच्छ्रुत्वा भगवान्क्रुद्धः पार्वतीनन्दनो महान् । उवाच प्रहसन्वाक्यं विष्णुं प्रति यथोचितम्

tacchrutvā bhagavānkruddhaḥ pārvatīnandano mahān | uvāca prahasanvākyaṃ viṣṇuṃ prati yathocitam

ครั้นได้สดับดังนั้น พระผู้เป็นเจ้า—โอรสอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระปารวตี—ทรงกริ้วขึ้น; กระนั้นก็ทรงแย้มสรวล แล้วตรัสถ้อยคำอันสมควรตอบแด่พระวิษณุ
