ธรรมราชาตรัสว่า “โอ้ผู้ปัญญาทึบ เจ้าจักต้องถูกเคี่ยวให้ทุกข์ในนรกอันใหญ่ยิ่งทั้งหลาย” ครั้นถูกกล่าวดังนั้น นักพนันจึงตอบด้วยถ้อยคำนี้
