ज्ञात्वा च तत्सर्वमिदं सुराणां कृत्यं तदानीं च चुकोप साध्वी । ददौ सती शापमतीव रुष्टा तदा सुवर्चा ऋषिवर्यपत्नी

jñātvā ca tatsarvamidaṃ surāṇāṃ kṛtyaṃ tadānīṃ ca cukopa sādhvī | dadau satī śāpamatīva ruṣṭā tadā suvarcā ṛṣivaryapatnī

ครั้นนางรู้แจ้งการกระทำทั้งมวลที่เหล่าเทวะได้ก่อไว้ในกาลนั้น สตรีผู้ทรงศีลก็เดือดดาลยิ่งนัก สุวรรจา ภรรยาของมหาฤๅษีผู้ประเสริฐ จึงเปล่งวาจาสาปด้วยความกริ้วอย่างแรงกล้า
