ततः पित्रा चिरं स्मृत्वा चिरं चाघ्राय मूर्धनि । चिरं दोर्भ्यां परिष्वज्य चिरंजीवेत्यु दाहृतः
tataḥ pitrā ciraṃ smṛtvā ciraṃ cāghrāya mūrdhani | ciraṃ dorbhyāṃ pariṣvajya ciraṃjīvetyu dāhṛtaḥ
แล้วบิดาก็รำลึกถึงเขาเนิ่นนาน สูดดมศีรษะเนิ่นนาน โอบกอดด้วยสองแขนเนิ่นนาน แล้วเปล่งวาจาว่า “ขอเจ้าจงมีอายุยืนยาวเถิด!”
