पतिता गुरवस्त्याज्या माता च न कथंचन । गर्भधारणपोषाभ्यां तेन माता गरीयसी

patitā guravastyājyā mātā ca na kathaṃcana | garbhadhāraṇapoṣābhyāṃ tena mātā garīyasī

แม้ครูอาจตกจากธรรมจนควรละทิ้งได้; แต่มารดาไม่พึงละทิ้งไม่ว่ากรณีใด. เพราะทรงครรภ์และเลี้ยงดูบำรุง มารดาจึงเป็นผู้มีเกียรติหนักยิ่ง ควรสักการะยิ่งกว่า.
