स्नेहात्करणरागश्च प्रजज्ञे वैषयस्तथा । अश्रेयस्कावुभावतौ पूर्वस्तत्र गुरुः स्मृतः
snehātkaraṇarāgaśca prajajñe vaiṣayastathā | aśreyaskāvubhāvatau pūrvastatra guruḥ smṛtaḥ
เพราะความยึดติดด้วยเสน่หา จึงเกิดความกำหนัดในอินทรีย์ และความใคร่ในอารมณ์ทั้งหลายด้วย ทั้งสองเป็นเหตุแห่งสิ่งอันไม่เกื้อกูล; และในเรื่องนี้ สิ่งแรกคือความยึดติดนั้น ท่านจดจำว่าเป็นตัวก่อการสำคัญ
