sthāpayitvā śivaṃ sūryo gaṃgāsāgarasaṃgame | nirāmayo'bhūtsomaśca prabhāse paścimodadhau
สุริยะได้สถาปนาพระศิวะ ณ จุดบรรจบแห่งคงคากับมหาสมุทร; และพระโสมะก็พ้นโรค ณ ปรภาสะ ริมสมุทรด้านตะวันตก
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā-sāgara-saṅgama; Prabhāsa
Type: sangam
Scene: Two sacred tableaux: (1) Sūrya at the Gaṅgā’s ocean-confluence installing a radiant Śiva-liṅga amid waves and pilgrims; (2) Soma at Prabhāsa by the western sea, his pallor lifting as he is healed, with Śiva’s presence implied by liṅga and sanctified shore.
Holy places and Śiva स्थापना confer well-being—removing ailments and granting auspiciousness to even the gods.
Gaṅgā-sāgara-saṅgama and Prabhāsa (near the western ocean) are explicitly praised.
Liṅga-sthāpanā is indicated; the verse also implies tīrtha-sevā for health and purification.
