परिवादं न श्रृमुयादन्येषामपि जल्पताम् । सदा चा कर्णयेद्धमास्त्यक्त्वा कृत्यशतान्यपि

parivādaṃ na śrṛmuyādanyeṣāmapi jalpatām | sadā cā karṇayeddhamāstyaktvā kṛtyaśatānyapi

ไม่พึงฟังคำส่อเสียดนินทา แม้ผู้อื่นจะพูดอยู่ก็ตาม ตรงกันข้าม แม้ละทิ้งกิจนับร้อย ก็พึงเงี่ยหูฟังคำสอนแห่งธรรมอยู่เสมอ
