यथा तथा चिंतितं च तत्र यास्याम्यहं श्फुटम् । पुण्यो यत्रापि विख्यातो महीसागरसंगमः

yathā tathā ciṃtitaṃ ca tatra yāsyāmyahaṃ śphuṭam | puṇyo yatrāpi vikhyāto mahīsāgarasaṃgamaḥ

ครั้นใคร่ครวญโดยรอบด้านแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าก็ตั้งปณิธานอย่างชัดเจนว่า “เราจักไปที่นั่น—ที่ซึ่งมีสังฆมอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์และเลื่องลือ ระหว่างแม่น้ำมหีกับมหาสมุทร”
