दातुरेवोपकाराय वदत्यर्थीति देहि मे । यस्माद्दाता प्रयात्यूर्ध्वमधस्तिष्ठेत्प्रतिग्रही
dāturevopakārāya vadatyarthīti dehi me | yasmāddātā prayātyūrdhvamadhastiṣṭhetpratigrahī
ผู้ขอเอ่ยว่า 'ข้าพเจ้าต้องการสิ่งนี้—จงให้แก่ข้าพเจ้าเถิด' เพื่อประโยชน์ของผู้ให้เอง เพราะผู้ให้ย่อมสูงส่งขึ้น ในขณะที่ผู้รับเพียงฝ่ายเดียวย่อมอยู่เบื้องล่าง
