देवदेव उवाच । शृणु देवि विशालाक्षि तीर्थं लिंगमुदाहृतम् । जलाशयेपि तीर्थाख्या जाता मूर्ति परिग्रहात्

devadeva uvāca | śṛṇu devi viśālākṣi tīrthaṃ liṃgamudāhṛtam | jalāśayepi tīrthākhyā jātā mūrti parigrahāt

พระผู้เป็นเทพเหนือเทพตรัสว่า: จงสดับเถิด โอ้เทวีผู้มีดวงตากว้าง ตีรถะนั้นได้ประกาศว่าเป็นลึงคะ แม้เพียงสระน้ำหรือแหล่งน้ำ เมื่อได้รับการสถิตและการยอมรับแห่งมูรติทิพย์ ก็เป็นที่รู้จักว่า ‘ตีรถะ’
