महादेवेति तैरुक्तं यन्मनोरथपूरणात । वाराणस्यां महादेवस्तदारभ्याभवच्च यत्
mahādeveti tairuktaṃ yanmanorathapūraṇāta | vārāṇasyāṃ mahādevastadārabhyābhavacca yat
เพราะทรงบันดาลให้ความปรารถนาในใจของพวกเขาสำเร็จ พวกเขาจึงขานนามว่า “มหาเทวะ” และนับแต่นั้นมา ณ วาราณสี พระองค์ก็ได้รับการสถาปนาเป็น “มหาเทวะ”
