तावत्कार्पटिकः कश्चित्तल्लोचनपथं गतः । आहूय बहुमानं तमपृच्छच्चाचलेश्वरः

ครั้นนั้นเอง มีนักบวชจาริกผู้หนึ่งปรากฏในสายตาของท่าน เมื่อทรงเรียกเข้ามาใกล้ด้วยความเคารพ พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งภูผาจึงตรัสถามเขา
