मधुस्रवेति प्रथममेषा पुष्करिणी स्मृता । कृतकृत्या ततो ज्ञेया ततोऽसौ क्षीरनीरधिः
madhusraveti prathamameṣā puṣkariṇī smṛtā | kṛtakṛtyā tato jñeyā tato'sau kṣīranīradhiḥ
สระศักดิ์สิทธิ์นี้แต่แรกจดจำว่า ‘มธุสรวา’ (ผู้หลั่งไหลน้ำผึ้ง) ต่อมาพึงรู้ว่า ‘กฤตกฤตยา’ (ผู้บันดาลให้ความมุ่งหมายสำเร็จ) แล้วจึงเรียกว่า ‘กษีรนีราธิ’—ดุจมหาสมุทรแห่งน้ำดั่งน้ำนม
