स्तुत्वेति तां स्मरहरार्धशरीरशोभां श्रीमंगलाष्टक महास्तवनेन भानुः । देवीं च देवमसकृत्परितः प्रणम्य तूष्णीं बभूव सविता शिवयोः पुरस्तात्
stutveti tāṃ smaraharārdhaśarīraśobhāṃ śrīmaṃgalāṣṭaka mahāstavanena bhānuḥ | devīṃ ca devamasakṛtparitaḥ praṇamya tūṣṇīṃ babhūva savitā śivayoḥ purastāt
ครั้นสรรเสริญพระเทวีผู้รุ่งเรืองดุจครึ่งกายของสมรหระ (ศิวะ) ด้วยมหาสถวะนามว่า ‘ศรีมังคละอัษฏกะ’ แล้ว ภานุ (พระอาทิตย์) ได้กราบนอบน้อมแด่พระเทวีและพระเทพโดยรอบซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า จากนั้นจึงยืนนิ่งเงียบต่อหน้าศิวะและศิวา
