न पर्वतर्क्षवृक्षाह्वां न नदीसर्पनामिकाम् । न पक्ष्यहिप्रेष्यनाम्नीं सौम्याख्यामुद्वहेत्सुधीः

na parvatarkṣavṛkṣāhvāṃ na nadīsarpanāmikām | na pakṣyahipreṣyanāmnīṃ saumyākhyāmudvahetsudhīḥ

บัณฑิตไม่พึงอภิเษกหญิงสาวที่มีนามเป็นชื่อภูเขา หมี หรือไม้ยืนต้น; ไม่พึงอภิเษกผู้มีนามเป็นชื่อแม่น้ำหรืออสรพิษ; ไม่พึงอภิเษกผู้มีนามเป็นชื่อนก งู หรือคนรับใช้—แม้ผู้ที่ชื่อเพียงว่า ‘โสมยา/เสามยา’ ก็ไม่ควร
