वाहीको नामतो यज्ञसूत्रमात्रपरिग्रहः । परिग्रहश्च तस्यासीत्कौविंदी विधवा नवा

vāhīko nāmato yajñasūtramātraparigrahaḥ | parigrahaśca tasyāsītkauviṃdī vidhavā navā

เขามีนามว่า วาหีกะ—ผู้ซึ่ง ‘ทรัพย์’ ที่มีอยู่มีเพียงยัชญสูตร (สายสิญจน์พราหมณ์) เท่านั้น และความยึดติดทางโลกของเขาคือหญิงหม้ายสาวแห่งชุมชนช่างทอที่เรียกว่า เกาวิṃที
