Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Sugrīvatīrtha
Type: kshetra
Scene: A symbolic tableau: on one side, a grand Vedic yajña with priests and fire; on the other, a simple pilgrim bathing at Sugrīvatīrtha; above, a scale tips toward the bath, showing eightfold merit and Naramedha-equivalence as a Purāṇic assertion.
The tīrtha is acclaimed as a shortcut to immense ritual merit, magnifying or equaling the results of elaborate Vedic sacrifices.
Sugrīvatīrtha.
Snāna (holy bathing) at Sugrīvatīrtha is explicitly prescribed as the means to obtain these stated merits.
