अतश्चिकित्साशक्तोऽपि यस्मादकृतभेषजः । अर्धमार्गे निवृत्तस्त्वं तेन तं हतवानसि । शाकल्येनैवमुदितः काश्यपः प्रत्यभाषत
ataścikitsāśakto'pi yasmādakṛtabheṣajaḥ | ardhamārge nivṛttastvaṃ tena taṃ hatavānasi | śākalyenaivamuditaḥ kāśyapaḥ pratyabhāṣata
ฉะนั้น แม้ท่านจะมีกำลังในการรักษา แต่เพราะมิได้ให้โอสถและหันกลับกลางทาง ด้วยเหตุนั้นท่านจึงเป็นผู้คร่าชีวิตเขา เมื่อศากัลยะกล่าวดังนี้ กาศยปะจึงตอบกลับ
