तदा रामः कुशा स्तीर्णे तीरे नदनदीपतेः । संविवेश महाबाहुर्वेद्यामिव हुताशनः

tadā rāmaḥ kuśā stīrṇe tīre nadanadīpateḥ | saṃviveśa mahābāhurvedyāmiva hutāśanaḥ

ครั้งนั้น พระรามผู้มีพาหุอันเกรียงไกรเอนกาย ณ ฝั่งแห่งเจ้าแห่งสายน้ำทั้งหลาย บนที่ปูด้วยหญ้ากุศะ—ดุจไฟศักดิ์สิทธิ์สถิตสงบอยู่บนเวทีบูชา
