etāni narakāṇyaddhā setusnāyī na paśyati | setu snānaṃ kariṣye'hamiti buddhyā viciṃtayan
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating to the sages (contextual attribution)
Tirtha: Setutīrtha (Setubandha)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee seated in meditation, hands in añjali, visualizing Setu’s shoreline; above the head, a luminous vision of the Setu waters appears, while dark naraka scenes are barred by a radiant protective boundary.
Not only the act but even the sincere intention (saṅkalpa) toward Setu-snāna is treated as spiritually potent.
Setu/Setubandha (Rāmeśvara).
Saṅkalpa to perform Setu-snāna, and the bathing itself.
