अपत्यविक्रयात्कल्पं वसेद्विट्कृमिभोजने । अतो नाण्वपि कन्याया उपजीव्यं नरैर्धनम्

Transliteration

apatyavikrayātkalpaṃ vasedviṭkṛmibhojane | ato nāṇvapi kanyāyā upajīvyaṃ narairdhanam

Translation

ผู้ใดขายบุตรหลาน ย่อมต้องอยู่ตลอดหนึ่งกัลป์ในแดนที่หนอนกินของโสโครก ดังนั้นมนุษย์ไม่ควรเลี้ยงชีพแม้ด้วยทรัพย์เพียงน้อยนิดที่ได้มาจาก ‘ค่าตัว’ ของธิดา
