lohāsura uvāca | yadi tuṣṭosi deveśa varamekaṃ vṛṇomyaham | śarīrasyājaratvaṃ ca mā mṛtyorapi me bhayam
Lohāsura
Scene: Lohāsura, hands folded, stands before Śiva requesting freedom from old age and fear of death; Śiva is calm, ash-smeared, with trident, granting audience.
Even intense austerity can be directed toward worldly invulnerability; Purāṇic dharma warns that boons without dharmic intent often lead to downfall.
The wider passage belongs to the Dharmāraṇya setting; this verse itself focuses on the boon-request rather than a named tīrtha.
No explicit ritual is prescribed here; the context implies tapas (austerity) as the means of obtaining boons.
