वागुवाच । कर्म्मणा यस्तु चंडालः सोऽग्रे मे स्थाप्यतां जनाः । तच्छ्रुत्वा महदाश्चर्यं मतिं चकुर्विलोचने

vāguvāca | karmmaṇā yastu caṃḍālaḥ so'gre me sthāpyatāṃ janāḥ | tacchrutvā mahadāścaryaṃ matiṃ cakurvilocane

วาจานั้นกล่าวว่า “ดูก่อนชนทั้งหลาย ผู้ใดเป็นจัณฑาลด้วยกรรมของตน จงนำผู้นั้นมาตั้งไว้เบื้องหน้าข้า” ครั้นได้ยินดังนี้ เขาทั้งหลายพิศวงยิ่งนัก และเริ่มสืบค้นด้วยปัญญาอันแหลมคม
